AHHHHH!!! is all I can say about this place... I arrived to a cool 78 degrees with practically no humidity and sunshine... it was amazing! I watched the sunrise from the airplane and couldn´t wait to get off the plane.
It took almost 5 hours to make the trek to Dominical and it was worth every minute, the views were beautiful and the people are amazing. I arrived at tortilla flats to a surprise of staying in a suite above the restaurant because my room was still occupied so that was nice. I started surf school at 10am on Sunday morning and apparently I did very well, I got up and rode the waves all but twice! my instructor is Ryan he´s a cali boy that moved here right after high school and my other instructor is called ¨Gato¨he´s a local and apparently the number one surfer in the country. I´m having a bit of trouble paddling out because i´m so friggin weak, but I´m having fun and getting my butt kicked in a good way.
today we went out to playa hermosa and I got nailed by my board in the hip... I tried to ride a wave that was way too big for me and it pretty much ate me, spit me out, then threw my board at me. my knees are so bruised and bright pink that they´re swollen, and I´m so sore I can hardly wash my hair in the shower. other than that I´m havnig an amazing time. I hung out on the beach last night with a bunch of girls who are friends with Ryan and then I had dinner at my hotel restaurant... the food is so yummy. I´ve been going to bed almost as soon as the sun goes down because i´m so tired from the ocean... but I suppose thats that.
well, I better get going I´m on my way to the grocery store to buy some water and snacks I have an 8am date with the ocean... I´m hoping the waves are a little nicer to me tomorrow.
I don´t ever want to come home from here. I´m so in love with this place... however, my spanish skills still suck because everyone speaks to me in english.

Sound like you're having fun out there! The bruises just show that you're a girl of adventures ;-) You make me miss traveling so much, but then again: you're a GREAT travel writer!! So please keep us updated on your experiances!!!
